Make your first move
Make the first move.
Just start.
You don't need to build a business today.
You need to sell one thing.
Make your first dollar.
The moment you sell something for more than it cost you, you've gone through the basic motion of business.
I don't care if the profit is $100, $1, or $0.01
IF YOU OWN IT FOR$10
→AND YOU SELL IT FOR$15
You made $5. That's the process. Don't overcomplicate it.
Test drive first.
Take something from home that you don't use anymore. A hat. An old game. A tool. A small appliance.
One real sale will teach you more than reading another 20 articles like this.
Your first assignment.
- Find one thing you don't use.
- Take a clean photo.
- Look up what similar items are listed for.
- Put it on Facebook Marketplace or use another reselling platform like eBay or Amazon. (Facebook Marketplace has no fees when selling locally. I recommend using it as a starter.)
- Respond to potential buyers when they contact you.
Post your first item.
Everyone loves the idea of extra money. But most never post anything. The average person is lazy. They talk a lot. But do very little. Don't be average. You can do this. It's so simple that it's almost laughable.
You don't have to know everything. You just have to list one item. (This makes you above average.)
