  4. Compare the exact model, condition, sold price, and date.
  5. Look for several similar sales when possible.

Compare the right things

A new item is not the same as a damaged one. A newer model is not the same as an older one. Local and shipped markets can also behave differently. The closer the comparison, the more useful it is.
