Why clearance exists
Stores have limited shelf space. New inventory keeps arriving. Locations can have different inventory and markdown needs. Clearance does not automatically mean the product is bad.
Do not trust the discount alone
A product marked from $300 to $60 might look exciting. If comparable items sell for $70, there may not be enough room after fees and shipping. The market is the answer.
Check sold prices and demand
Search the exact model. Compare condition. Look at multiple recent sold prices when possible. Then use the profit calculator to include fees, shipping, packaging, and other costs.
Keep the downside small
Keep the receipt and check the current return policy before buying. If an item does not sell and is still eligible, you may be able to return it.
